Max Mannheimer 1920-2016
Friday September 23 Max Mannheimer passed away at the age of 96.
More than 30 years he gave lectures to young people and adults in schools,
universities and elsewhere as an eye witness to the horrors of Third Reich and the Nazi era.
With the passing of Max The CID not only looses its vice president, but also a dear friend.

Introduction Thesis Award
The Comité International de Dachau has established a Thesis Award. The Comité is funding the award in memory of the victims of the national-socialist concentration and extermination camps, in particular the concentration camp Dachau.
Academic workshop on Displaced Persons
In the past few years, interest in the aftermath, social and individual consequences of the Shoah, forced labour and Nazi persecution has increased. Relevant research topics emerging from the post-war situation include early testimonies, the immediate Allied care for the Displaced Persons (DP) population, regional micro studies and the ongoing displacement in following generations.
